Description: Sweet and lovable, very smart but bad at cooking. She can be dangerous if she gets jealous.

Description: Sweet, cheerful and positive. Good-natured but a bit naive. She is generally weak with no powers until the Rosary seal necklace around her neck is broken.

Description: Is of a new genetic race called Diclonius. Dark and brooding, a brutal killer. She hates all people except for the main guy of the anime of whom she is in love with.


Nyuu - Elfen Lied



Description: Lucy's alter ego. She cannot really speak and only makes "nyuu" noises which is why she is given that name. She is completely innocent and unaware, and doesn't know how to do basic things so she has to be taught to do them.

Nana - Elfen Lied



Description: A Silpelit, a type of Diclonii that cannot reproduce. Doesn't like to fight that much, but can be brave. She always refers to herself in third person, and loves her Papa, or creator.

Mariko - Elfen Lied



Description: The most powerful Silpelit in the series. Because she was kept in holding for a long time she has impaired moment of her limbs so she can only move around in a wheelchair.

At first sight, Emi appears to be a drop-dead gorgeous girl, and so popular with the male students that she is first on the list “Women by whom I would like to be stomped on by".[1] However, she is not called "The Black Blade" for nothing. Her most coveted secret is that she is extremely obese, which she does on purpose so she can use her ability to contort and fold her fat. In these folds, she can hide throwing knives and other various small objects if needed. Thus to the untrained eye when she is fighting, Emi seems to be able to pull knives out of nowhere.

During one attack, the young Baiken, after watching the death of her parents and losing her right arm and left eye, saw standing among the Gears their creator: "That Man." From that point, she swore revenge, training herself in the use of the katana and dedicated herself to hunting "That Man" down. (Baiken was a hidden character in Guilty Gear but became a normal character in the later installments.) Armed with a katana, she also has many hidden surprise weapons within the sleeve of her severed arm: a Japanese mace, a fireworks cannon, a bladed fan, a chain rope, a hook, a claw, and a spear.
