So I heard that quite a few DoMO people have been playing this game, and a few months ago Kara and I gave it a try.

I first heard about this game from fritz (if any of you remember him) because he wanted me to try it out but I didn't exactly download it right away. However, during one point when I was completely bored of DoMO I downloaded it and tried it.

I thought it was super fun at first, and it's cute and I'm always a sucker for cute things so I stuck with it for a while and got Kara to play with me.

So basically you're in the a place known as "Blue Land" where your adventure begins. There is no specific, steady plotline...you just talk to NPCs and do quests and lvl up. That's pretty much it.

Character Creation - Not too great on customization...you only pick either Human or Elf race, then pick your hairstyle and face style after that. Later on in the game there are costumes and cash shop items that you can change for different hairstyles later, but it's not that great.

Also...I know this seemed to be an issue with most people but all the normal player chars all look like little kids compared to the NPCs...

Gameplay - The classes and skills are not too bad, the sorcerer class (branching from Mage) has some awesome AoEs...it's pretty much the same DOMO style....point, click...attack.

To get new skills it costs money, so unfortunately if you don't read up before hand about how you want to build your class you may have to get a cash shop item to reskill/restat.

Classes - You pick 1 of 3 different classes upon character creation: Fighter, Mage, or Rogue, then at certain lvls you can pick a new class which will give you a new set of skills to obtain. It's kinda like MapleStory's class system in a sense...

There are also certain other classes you can pick depending on what race you picked.

Luna's Job Tree

Dating Instances - The "unique" feature about Luna is that it has a dating system where you can go into a date instance with a character of the opposite sex and kill a bunch of monsters through a certain lvl range. You will be rewarded with special items, some of which you can use to craft a special "wedding" costume.

Unfortunately, Luna doesn't have a marriage system yet even though apparently you can get a wedding costume. --;

Crafting/Disassembling - It's like...ridiculously easy to make stuff, but it all depends on the success rate. It costs more of a certain item(s)/gold to have a higher chance to make an item. In the craft window it will tell you the percent of success, but even if at 100% there is still a chance of failure. <<;;

Disassembling stuff just means that certain items can be broken apart to get other useful items to craft with.

Family - Another of Luna's "unique" features is that you can make a family...(heheh) where one person is head of a "household" with a name and can allow up to 4 other people (max family of 5) to join that family. You can even upload your own person icon to add to your family so you can distinguish from others.

When you're in a family, you can even have a custom "nickname" to show up above your username along with your family icon. However, other members of the family (or I'm not sure I think maybe just the head of the family can) change your nickname.

Farms - The advantage to having a family is that you can buy a plot (under certain conditions) and own a farm, and even a house. However, in Luna there are a VERY limited amount of farm plots....so unfortunately you'd be better off joining an already well-established family to be able to farm.

Guilds - The purpose of joining guilds is for the most part, to be able to have guild wars. Yes, during a guild war, anyone in the guilds warring have open PvP against each other. <<;;;

Guilds don't have like a cottage or castle....you just have extra storage space of which you drop off with a guild NPC.

Guilds kinda function the same like a family, and can also upload a custom icon to their guild name.

Autoloot - One of the great things about Luna is that there is an autoloot function so you can hunt on your own without having to pick up items or having someone else party with you. Unfortunately, Luna has a lot of issues with KSing and the only way to escape a KSer is to change channels within the server.

Lvling/Questing - Like in DoMO, lvling is not very hard in Luna, and once in a while you might get a chance to get an exp scroll to lvl up faster. You can lvl faster by doing quests but sometimes the quests require you to kill an insane amount of a certain monster and that's where KSing becomes a big issue since everyone gets the same quest at a certain lvl and they all want to kill the same mob.

Wings - At lvl 20 you get a special quest to receive your choice of 4 different wings. Well actually, there are 2 wings, and 2 balloons that allow you to fly, although it's just like hovering above the ground, it helps you move faster than just running/walking. After you complete the quest you go to a certain NPC that will give you a certain wing to fly.

You can get another pair of wings at lvl 50, and basically after completing the quest you can "upgrade" the wings you got from the lvl 20 quest into bigger wings with better stats so that you can move even faster. For some reason only the wings can be upgraded, and not either of the balloons that you might get from the lvl 20 quest.

And uh...I guess that's pretty much it for now.

Now for some screenshots!

Closed Beta Tester exclusive outfits (perm) obtained through being a CB tester for Luna or having entered a CB key that was promo'd from Fileplanet when you download the game from there.

Mine and Kara's char...although he isn't wearing the "head" part...the whole outfit includes blue hair. The outfits are modeled after 2 of the NPCs in the game.

The hearts over our heads means that we have the same likes when we register our characters in the game, and they pop up every time our characters are close to each other.

And yes...we joined a Genesis guild in there.... XD nice folks, though. They too are a high lvl guild.

Heh heh... I'm trying to play this game... nothing left for me to do in domo anymore >.>... meh I'm still nub in a game that's not domo compared to other domo players :/

If there were cut scenes with characters that look as good as the people when you talk to them this game would be more interesting.

Yeah I agree...

On another note, the GMs throw some nice events once in a while...
